چکیده

Abstract With the emergence of Internet Things (IoT), application developers can rely on a variety protocols and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to support data exchange between IoT devices. However, this may result in highly heterogeneous interactions terms both functional non-functional semantics. To map semantics, middleware connectors be utilized interconnect devices via bridging mechanisms. In paper, we make use Data eXchange (DeX) connector model that enables interoperability among DeX interactions, including synchronous, asynchronous streaming, generic post get primitives represent device behaviors with varying space/time coupling. Nevertheless, time semantics such as availability/validity, intermittent connectivity processing time, severely affect response times success rates interactions. We introduce timing parameters for enhance API. The new API mapping By precisely studying these using timed automata models, verify conditions successful connectors. Furthermore, statistically analyze through simulations effect ensure higher probabilities Simulation experiments are compared run Mediators (DeXM) framework evaluate accuracy results. This work provide precise design information when setting order accurate runtime behavior.

Demo Abstract: RocketLogger - Mobile Power Logger for Prototyping IoT Devices

We demonstrate the RocketLogger, a mobile data logger designed for prototyping energy harvesting IoT devices. Novel IoT applications require new dataloggers with a highly increased dynamic range for current measurement to accommodate both ultra-low sleep currents of few nanoamperes as well as wireless communication currents in the range of hundreds of milliamperes. In parallel to ultra-low curr...

Programming IoT Devices by Demonstration Using Mobile Apps

The revolutionary advances of Internet of Things (IoT) devices and applications have helped IoT emerge as an increasingly important domain for end-user development (EUD). Past research has shown that end users desire to create various customized automations, which would often utilize multiple IoT devices. Many solutions exist to support EUD across multiple IoT devices, but they are limited to d...

Dynamic Data Binding Protocol between IoT Medical Device and IoT Medical Service for Mobile Healthcare

In this paper, the author suggests a binding protocol which enables users to use public medical devices as if they are their own medical devices through IoT Healthcare. Binding protocol provides customized real-time transmission function enabling interwork between mobile phones, medical devices and monitoring services. In particular, the author defines a protocol to support streaming date trans...

Security Analytics of Network Flow Data of IoT and Mobile Devices (Work-in-progress)

Given that security threats and privacy breaches are commonplace today, it is an important problem for one to know whether their device(s) are in a ”good state of security”, or is there a set of highrisk vulnerabilities that need to be addressed. In this paper, we address this simple yet challenging problem. Instead of gaining white-box access to the device, which offers privacy and other syste...
